"Pink Out" The Budweiser Bleachers

Chicago Cubs fans are invited to participate in the Cubs Charities "Pink Out" presented by Advocate Health Care, Tuesday, May 6, in the Budweiser Bleachers, the last Cubs home game before Mothers Day. Each fan attending the game in the Budweiser Bleachers that day will receive a Cubs Charities "Pink Out" tee shirt to celebrate moms and women everywhere who are survivors and to promote breast cancer awareness. Tee shirts will be handed out at the gates by Cubs players' and coaches' wives.

Fans throughout the ballpark are encouraged to wear pink that day. The Cubs Store, located across Wrigley Field at the corner of Clark and Addison Streets, will display a "Pink Out" section with pink Cubs merchandise and a 10 percent discount on engraved pink bats for fans interested in participating.

All fans in attendance May 6 are encouraged to participate in the Cubs Charities 50/50 Raffle, as proceeds will benefit mammograms for under/uninsured women through Advocate Charitable Foundation.

The Cubs and Advocate will honor breast cancer survivors by including many survivors in notable game ceremonies. The game's ceremonial first pitches will be thrown by a breast cancer survivor, as well as Major League Baseball's 2014 Honorary Bat Girl Contest winner, who is selected for the honor after submitting a story about "Going to Bat Against Breast Cancer." The National Anthem will be sung by 40 members of the Sing to Live Community Chorus, which is comprised of singers whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Three breast cancer survivors will lead the afternoon's seventh-inning stretch from the broadcast booth. In addition, Advocate will bring more than 50 survivors to enjoy the game in the stands.

Fans will notice other pink touches throughout the ballpark as well, such as a temporary pink ribbon on the outfield wall, pink hats worn by the grounds crew and more.
