The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted 10-year-old Mark Erstad the chance to meet some of his favorite players on Wednesday.
Erstad -- no relation to former Angel Darin Erstad -- has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He received a momentary reprieve from the challenges he faces at Angel Stadium when he was presented with a bat by his favorite player, Mark Trumbo, along with Mike Trout and Peter Bourjos.
He also received a game-used batting glove from Albert Pujols and spent time chatting with Torii Hunter and Mike Scioscia.
After batting practice, Erstad, who is from Temple City, Calif., toured the press box and broadcast booth, then threw out the ceremonial first pitch before watching the game from behind home plate.
