Currently there are more than 16,000 athletes participating in Special Olympics Michigan programs. Michigan has one of the largest programs in the U.S., but is always looking for more athletes.
Through sports training and competition, Special Olympics helps people with intellectual disabilities participate and become respected members of their communities.
