Detroit Tigers Class Outside Series

Attention Educators! The Tigers have designed five specific programs that incorporate the fun of going to a baseball game with classroom learning. Each of the following five dates has a 45 minute program dedicated to the correlation between classroom lessons and the sport of baseball. Gates open at 10:00AM for each event, followed by a 45 minute educational presentation. (FREE parking for school buses and vehicles is available on the I-75 Service Drive)

Detroit Tigers vs Houston Astros, 1:05PM

Michigan has a very special role in the history of space exploration. Many former NASA astronauts are Michigan natives (and baseball fans!). Join the Tigers as we explore our universe and galaxy, from the perspective of an astronaut, utilizing the giant HD Comerica Park videoboard. Please note: Space Day is designed for elementary and middle school students.

Weather Day

Gates open at 10:00am

Join the Tigers and meteorologists Ben Bailey and Alan Longstreet from WJBK FOX-2 and learn about the science behind Michigan weather and why it acts the way it does. In addition, we'll discuss how these weather changes can effect our lives and Detroit Tigers baseball. Please note: The Weather Day presentation is designed for elementary and middle school students.

Exclusive for Weather Day participants and group leaders: Comerica Park gates will open at 10:00 a.m. and will close at 10:40 a.m. Please enter the ballpark GATE D (located on the corner of Montcalm and John R). Participants arriving after 10:40 a.m. will not be allowed into the ballpark until after the gates open for the general public. Once inside, all participants will be directed by Detroit Tigers staff to the Weather Day presentation area.

The Weather Day event will start promptly at 10:45 a.m. and last until 11:30 a.m.

Career Day at Comerica Park

Gates open at 10:00am

Come to Comerica Park to witness a special pre-game workshop with members of the Detroit Tigers front office, and learn about careers in media relations, marketing, corporate sales, ballpark operations, promotions and sales! Listen to real people talk about real jobs and real life experiences in the game of baseball.

When the presentation is over, you can watch all the action as the Tigers take on the Twins!
