How Do MLB Players Spend Their Days Off?
So the Atlanta Braves have a travel day today and no game tonight. It got me thinking: what do Major League Baseball players do on their days off? I’m sure some of them like to relax at home or in the hotel, depending on if they are home or away. But, I’m also sure that some of them like to go out and explore the city they're going to play in the next day. I would guess most of the rookies or younger players do entirely different things than the veterans, but who knows?
Jason Kipnis of the Cleveland Indians actually tweeted about his off day today:
Off day, Steak n Shake, Hulu, Netflix, couch, slippers, windows open, breeze.... This day is alright so far— Jason Kipnis (@TheJK_Kid) May 31, 2012
There are no off days here at the MLB Fan Cave, so I couldn’t tell you what we do. However, I do know that when players have off days here in NYC they have been stopping by to see us. I certainly hope that continues. But I want to hear from you. What do you think players do on their off days? And if you were a Major Leaguer, what would you do with one of you rare days off? Respond below or tweet me at @SkippinsYNN or @MLBFanCave with your answer.
