It is the Astros goal to create mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers that can provide high quality goods and services at a competitive price. By actively pursuing the objectives of the Diverse Business Partners Program, the Houston Astros will enhance our contribution to the economic growth and development of our community.
To qualify for the Astros Diverse Business Partners Program, a business must be at least 51% owned and operated by one of the following recognized groups: African American, Asian American, Hispanic American or Native American. Women owned businesses must be at least 51% owned and operated by one or more women.
To participate in the Astros Diverse Business Partners Program, a minority or woman owned business must be certified by a local, state, or federal government agency or a recognized certifying body such as the Houston Minority Business Council or the Houston Women's Business Council. A business may initially self-certify on transactions less than $3,500, however, certification must be obtained within the following 90 days to be considered for any future business. All prospective vendors will be required to complete a vendor registration form for inclusion in the Astros Diverse Business Partners database.
