Created in 2001, Royals Charities strives to support children, education, youth baseball/softball and military in and around the Kansas City area. The foundation accomplishes this mission through financial donations, as well as in-kind support, including memorabilia, tickets and publicity. Under the leadership of the Glass family, Royals Charities has donated more than $9 million since its inception.

Join us for the Royals Charities 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 22. Participants will have the opportunity to run on the warning track as a part of the 5K course. An in-stadium fundraiser presented by Royals Charities and Edelman & Thompson in which a lucky fan can win big! Staff will sell raffle tickets from the time gates open until the end of the sixth inning. One winning ticket will be selected with the winner taking home half of the evening's net proceeds. The other half will be donated to Royals Charities. On Monday, June 1, fans and corporate supporters played golf with current and former Royals celebrities at the annual Royals Charities Celebrity Golf Tournament. The event featured great gifts, food, drinks, prizes on the course, and an afternoon reception and awards program. This tournament was held at Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe, and Royals Charities raised $60,000 to support Special Olympics KC Metro.

Created in 2006, the Royalty Fields grant program is an ongoing Royals Charities effort that strives to improve baseball and softball facilities across the Midwest. Baseball and softball programs in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Arkansas or South Dakota can apply for a Royalty Fields matching grant of up to $5,000 for major renovations.Learn More
On Saturday, May 16, Royals Charities held the in-stadium event, Shirts Off Their Backs, which gave fans the opportunity to win an autographed jersey from a Royals player on-field after the game. Royals Charities supported HappyBottoms with a $15,000 donation thanks to this event.
Royals Charities and the Kansas City Royals are teaming up with 99.7 THE POINT and The Ali Kemp Educational Foundation to host a T.A.K.E. Defense self-defense class for the seventh year on the field at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, September 19. The class is free and open to all females ages 12 and older. The Royals have partnered with the National Council of La Raza and will be a part of the 2015 National Latino Family Expo, taking place at the Kansas City Convention Center from Saturday, July 11th through Monday, July 13th. Royals alumni along with 3&2 Baseball will provide convention goers with 1 on 1 hitting and pitching instruction from 11am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 11th and July 12th and from 11am to 3pm on Monday, July 13th.
