On Thursday, February 7, 2013 the Marlins Foundation held the Annual Marlins Basebowl. Hosted at the chic Lucky Strike Bowling Alley on South Beach, guests enjoyed two rounds of bowling with their favorite Marlins players, alumni and local radio personalities. A large array of tasty appetizers filtered through the crowd and unlimited cocktails were shared thanks to beverage in-kind sponsors Premier Beverage, Budweiser and Pepsi Co. Top 40 spins was provided, courtesy of Miami's own DJ Truth, which accompanied a photo slide show that graced the projector screens highlighting Marlins Ayudan Program with Marlins Front Office staff and Uniformed Personal. In the end, with the night's highest score, Sue and Bruce Freedman's team won 1st Place! Miami Marlins Pitcher Tom Kohler received the award for Best Male Bowler and Kelly Britten received the award for Best Female Bowler. Each of them received a unique bowling pin trophy autographed by all of the Marlins players.
