On Friday, February 8, 2013 the Marlins Foundation held the First Annual Marlins Trivia Night presented by Dade Paper. Hosted in the Clevelander at Marlins Park, guests enjoyed appetizers and unlimited cocktails thanks to beverage in-kind sponsors Premier Beverage, Budweiser and Pepsi Co. Joined by Marlins players and alumni, Trivia teams received raffle tickets for a Marlins duo to join their team for the night. FS Florida's Tommy Hutton and MLB Broadcasting Hall of Famer Dave Van Horne MC'd the night's festivities. Special guest, Matt Hammond, hosted six rounds of tantalizing trivia, ranging from questions such as "Who is on the dime?", to "In what country are professional major league baseballs' made?". If teams got a little stumped on a question, they were given the opportunity to get advice from the dynamic Expert Panel. Marlins Infielder Greg Dobbs joined Marlins President David Samson, Marlins General Manager Mike Hill, and FS Florida personality Craig Minervini, on the Expert Panel. In the end, Saul Kravec's team won 1st Place with 121 points! They received $1,500 cash, six (6) Bacardi Dugout Club tickets to a Marlins 2013 home game, and their team registration fee of $250 donated to a charity of their choice. Special thank you to all of the event sponsors: Dade Paper, The Clevelander, Premier Beverage, Budweiser, Pepsi Co and The Miami Foundation.
