DETROIT -- For the second time in three days, the Tigers were rained out, this time the weather postponing the finale of their two-game series against the Blue Jays. The game has been rescheduled for June 27 at 7:05 p.m. ET.
The Tigers will skip Rick Porcello in the rotation, sticking with Phil Coke on Wednesday and Justin Verlander on Thursday in a two-game series against the Red Sox in Boston.
After avoiding postponements in April, the Tigers now have two games to make up. Sunday's game against the Royals was moved to Sept. 1.
The Tigers had six games postponed last season, three of which were in May, and two of which were at home.
After going on a seven-game winning streak, the Tigers lost to the Blue Jays, 4-2, on Monday. Toronto is on a six-game winning streak of its own.
