PHOENIX -- The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) announced that the popular rock band SWITCHFOOT will perform after the D-backs game this Friday for Faith & Family Night, presented by Grand Canyon University.

SWITCHFOOT lead singer Jon Foreman will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the D-backs vs. Phillies game at 6:40 p.m. at Chase Field Following Friday night's game there will also be a Fireworks show, presented by Gila River Casinos, along with a Faith & Family Q&A session and testimonial from D-backs players before the SWITCHFOOT concert on the field. In addition, a portion of proceeds from Faith & Family group ticket sales will benefit Christian Family Care to help children and families through foster care and adoption. 

SWITCHFOOT - comprising Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar) - won a GRAMMY for 2009's "Hello Hurricane." The band's follow-up album, "Vice Verses," earned Billboard's praise for its "powerful, anthemic rockers" and was hailed by Relevant Magazine as SWITCHFOOT'S "most unique" album yet.
