The Houston Astros have set the preliminary 2013 minor league rosters for the Class A Short Season Tri-City ValleyCats and the Rookie Level Greeneville and Gulf Coast League clubs.

Astros Foundation hosted first Picnic in the Park; event featured Astros players
Following this afternoon's Astros victory over the White Sox, the entire 2013 Astros roster of players participated in Houston's first Picnic in the Park, a charitable fundraiser benefiting The Astros Foundation and its baseball programs for at-risk youth. In addition to the players, Owner and Chairman Jim Crane, President Reid Ryan, General Manager Jeff Luhnow and Manager Bo Porter were in attendance. The first-time event, which was sold out, took place on the field with more than 700 in attendance.

Astros sign four additional Draft picks
The Houston Astros announced today the signing of four selections from the 2013 MLB First Year Player Draft: 1B Conrad Gregor (4th round), C Jacob Nottingham (6th round), OF Jon Kemmer (21st round) and OF Ronnie Mitchell (38th round). Contract terms were not disclosed. The announcement was made by Astros Director of Amateur Scouting Mike Elias.

The Houston Astros announced today the signing of nine selections from the 2013 MLB First Year Player Draft: 2B Tony Kemp (5th round), CF Jason Martin (8th round), SS Thomas Lindauer (23rd round), LHP Albert Minnis (25th round), RHP William Chrismon (26th round), RHP Pat Christensen (27th round), LHP Randall Fant (29th round), RHP Zachary Morton (32nd round) and RHP Tyler Brunnemann (40th round).
