    The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have placed outfielder Matt Holliday (right quadriceps strain) on the 15-day disabled list and recalled infielder Greg Garcia from Memphis (AAA). The team also announced that it has designated first baseman Dan Johnson for assignment in order to add newly-acquired outfielder/first baseman Brandon Moss to both the 25-man and 40-man rosters.

    The St. Louis Cardinals announced this morning that they have acquired left-handed hitting outfielder/first baseman Brandon Moss from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for minor league left-handed pitcher Rob Kaminsky. Moss is expected to the join the Cardinals for their game this evening (6:15 p.m. CDT) against Colorado.

  • Cardinals & Fox Sports Midwest announce new long-term tv rights agreement

    The St. Louis Cardinals and FOX Sports Midwest today announced a new long-term television rights agreement. The new agreement will begin in 2018 and will run 15 seasons through the 2032 season. Financial terms were not disclosed.

  • Cardinals activate Jaime Garcia from D.L.

    The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have activated left-handed pitcher Jaime Garcia (left groin strain) from the 15-day disabled list and that they had optioned right-handed reliever Sam Tuivailala to Memphis (AAA) following last night's game. Garcia is slated to start tonight's game against Cincinnati.

  • U.S. MNT to play 2018 FIFA World Cup qualiying match in St. Louis

    The U.S. Men's National team will play its first home match of 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. The match will be played Nov. 13 against the winner of the Third Round Qualifying match between St. Vincent & The Grenadines and Aruba.

    Today the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum introduced a new membership program for fans as well as the first event in a new series of Cardinals Museum programming.

    The St. Louis Cardinals announced prior tonight's game that they have added newly-acquired right-handed reliever Steve Cishek (pronounced SEE-sheck) to the team's 25-man active roster and optioned left-handed pitcher Tim Cooney to Memphis (AAA).
