Kids can bring home Detroit Tigers Mascot PAWS from this Sunday's game - as a bobblehead! The Tigers host the Toronto Blue Jays at 1:05 p.m. and every child 14-and-younger in attendance will receive a PAWS bobblehead, complements of Comcast. The first-ever bobblehead created in the likeness of Detroit's favorite mascot has PAWS roaring with Tigers pride.
"I never expected a bobblehead giveaway to be made in my honor," an ecstatic PAWS conveyed through a team publicist. "It's a real privilege to join Miguel Cabrera as the other Tigers bobblehead giveaway this season."
PAWS, who turned 14 earlier this season, not only entertains the Tigers faithful at Comerica Park during every home game, but travels to a wide variety of adventures throughout the metro Detroit community all year long.
Setting a record number of community appearances this season, PAWS has interacted with Tigers fans during school visits to birthday parties to wedding receptions. In July for instance, PAWS made back-to-back All-Star visits, traveling from the MLB 2009 All-Star Game in St. Louis directly to the 2009 Tiny Tigers All-Star Day the next day in Detroit.
Gates for Sunday's game open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are available for Sunday's game, and all remaining Tigers games, at the Comerica Park Box Office, online at www.tigers.com, by phone at (866) 66-TIGER (84437), at Detroit-area Meijer stores, and at Hockeytown Authentics located at 1845 E. Big Beaver Road in Troy.
To welcome PAWS to your next event, visit www.tigers.com/paws or call 313-471-2259 for more information.
