Gausman to debut vs. fellow former first-rounder
When Kevin Gausman received the news on Tuesday, he had a tough time wrapping his head around the idea. The 22-year-old Orioles prospect was informed he would be making his first Major League start on Thursday against the Blue Jays in Toronto, and it took until Wednesday for the news to really sink in.

Left-hander J.A. Happ has yet to throw off a mound in Florida because of lingering soreness in his right knee. Happ is currently working out at the Blue Jays' Minor League complex in Dunedin, but his sprained knee has yet to fully recover from an injury sustained on May 7, when he was struck in the head by a line drive.
