Gary Sheffield got the Tigers off to a great start with a two-run homer in the first inning, and after allowing two early runs, Jeremy Bonderman was dominant as Detroit earned a split in its four-game series in Cleveland. Jason Grilli put the game away after a 17-minute rain delay in the ninth.
