Bill Hall's two-run homer in the eighth inning put the Brew Crew ahead for the first time in the series, and the Brewers held on for a victory. Carlos Villanueva was solid, holding the Tigers to one run over five innings while filling in for Chris Capuano.

Mike Maroth pitched well enough to get his first win at Comerica Park this season, but his seven innings of one-run ball were erased when Bill Hall homered off Fernando Rodney in the eighth. The Tigers couldn't rally against Francisco Cordero.
