Though Miguel Cabrera gathered two hits, Matt Joyce powered two doubles and Placido Polanco added an RBI, Detroit couldn't get hot as it dropped the game and fell further behind Minnesota in the standings. Armando Galarraga was tagged with just his third loss of the season.
