Placido Polanco's RBI single in the 16th inning -- his second go-ahead hit in three innings -- touched off a three-run frame, helping the Tigers to recover from blowing an early six-run cushion. Freddy Dolsi, the last of eight pitchers the Tigers used, earned the victory.
