Tigers win slugfest
Photos
Tigers 9, Mariners 7
Rick Porcello gave up five runs in five innings for his first win since June 18. (Gary Malerba/AP)
Magglio Ordonez blasted a grand slam in the first inning to give the Tigers a lead that they would not relinquish, but that was not the only power showcased on Tuesday. The Tigers and Mariners combined for seven homers, with Placido Polanco and Miguel Cabrera each contributing solo shots.
