Miguel Cabrera's third hit of the game drove in two runs in the eighth inning and put the Tigers ahead for good in the series opener. Alex Avila started the rally with his third homer of the season, and Ryan Raburn's heads-up swipe of home while Cabrera was in a rundown provided insurance.
