PERSONAL: Miguel Angel "Mike" Rojas…resides in Naples, FL, with his wife, Ginny…they have three children: Michelle (24), Jennifer (23) and Mike Jr. (17)…is the son of former MLB player, coach and manager Cookie Rojas (who is still working as a TV analyst with the Marlins), and the brother of Victor Rojas, the TV play-by-play announcer of the Angels. 

MANAGING/COACHING CAREER: In his first season as the Mariners bullpen coach, and his first season as a coach in the Mariners organization, but his fourth season as a big league coach, overall…was named bullpen coach in Detroit on July 3, 2011 and held the position until joining Seattle…was the Tigers minor league field coordinator for three-plus seasons prior to his promotion...Posted a 651-643 (.503) mark in 12 seasons as a minor league manager in the White Sox, Astros, Reds and Tigers organizations...Named Florida State League Manager of the Year in 2005…named Best Managerial Candidate by Baseball America in 2005 (Florida State League) and 2000 (Southern League)...Was an assistant coach at St. Thomas University in Miami from 1987-1991. 

PLAYING CAREER: Appeared in the minor leagues in the Oakland (1983) and Toronto (1984) organizations.
