Jamie Pogue joined the Cardinals in 2012 as the team's bullpen catcher. An undrafted catcher out of Southern Arkansas, Pogue signed with the Cardinals in 2000 and played in St. Louis' minor league system through March 2003. Pogue was a coach for the Ontario Blue Jays amateur baseball team from 2009-2011.

A native of Canada, Pogue grew up in Guelph, Ontario, and started his post high school baseball career with two seasons at Texarkana (Texas) College (CC), where he was named NJCAA defensive freshman of the year in 1996. He attended and played baseball for Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va., in 1998 and then Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, Ark., in 1999. He signed with the London Werewolves of the Frontier League in 1999, as the Werewolves won the League Championship that season with Pogue being named playoff MVP.

Pogue, 36, was a member of Team Canada in 2001, 2003 and 2005, and played in the 2001 World Cup in Taiwan. He and his wife, Jeanne, reside in Eureka, Mo., with their three children: Selena (16), Madyson (11) and Skylinn (9).
